Church Hill Productions a Queens based Production Company Presents:
Queens County International Film Festival (QCIFF)
“Bring Your World To Our World”
Queens County International Film Festival consists of a 4-day film industry event that will highlight the work of prominent and up & coming filmmakers, directors, writers, producers, and industry affiliates from around the world. The Festival will take place August 19-22, 2004 in Flushing Queens, NY. Featured activities will include an opening reception, premiere screenings, panel discussions, entertainment, an “Industry Market Place,” and a Street Fair / Concerts incorporating local merchants and businesses. As well as known celebrities originating from Queens to return.
QCIFF’s objective is to create a truly unique opportunity for the Borough of Queens, by developing in the heart of Flushing it will generate an awareness of Queens’ richly diverse mix of cultures and the contributions they have made to the community in both the consumer and local business arena. Additionally, part of our core objective is to help boost the Queens County economy, increase tourism into Queens, and augment sales for local retailers and businesses during the four day event.
Why another film festival? Many of the film and entertainment industry’s leaders and innovative talents emerged form Queens County! It’s time to bring global attention to the multi-faceted talents & cultures of our borough, Queens! The Film Festival will give participants the opportunity to get much needed added exposure to industry affiliates, and alike as well as finding the next big talent from Queens. We will also be celebrating the 40TH Anniversary of the 1964-1965 World’s Fair. We are looking to do this at Flushing Meadow-Corona Park along with a street fair and concert venue. QCIFF will provide participants with the opportunity to create business and talent collaborations, and many fruitful local and national partnerships for immediate and future film projects; from funding, financing, and creative talent the QCIFF will provide an effective pipeline of valuable resources for all participators in the event.
We believe QCIFF’s objectives are similar to the World’s Fair 1964/65 Corporation’s in which; The World’s Fair involved the community like no other event. People from all over the world wanted to be involved, and it stimulated the public’s imagination and creative thought on what to exhibit, how to exhibit, and it pushed artistic and industrial capabilities forward.
